Chaos in the air: Iran launched missiles at the United Arab Emirates, the landings were stopped

Chaos in the UAE: After weeks of quiet in the country and a return to full normality, according to reports, today (Monday) Iran launched at least 4 ballistic missiles and a UAV towards the Gulf, which caused several flights to turn around in the air and not land at the international airport in Dubai.

According to the reports, many international flights that were on their way to land at the second busiest port in the world, were forced to turn around in the air, including, among others, flights from the USA, India and Oman. At this point, all landings in Dubai were suspended. Only two days ago, the United Arab Emirates Aviation Authority announced a return to full flight routine, while monitoring the explosive security situation in the region. Emirates, the airline of Dubai, also announced that it had almost returned to 100 percent of its activity, for the first time since the beginning of the war with Iran.

As you may remember, during the war, the airport was hit by drones launched from the direction of Iran during one of the attacks, four workers were even injured, and the terminals at the port were evacuated, and flights were stopped. This is a very hard blow to the entire aviation world, since Dubai’s airport is the largest in terms of passengers on international flights and about 300,000 passengers pass through it every day.
