Certainly not Paris: the European city that is on fire after the loss of the Moroccan team

London Police officers were called to Edgware Street in the west of the city after Moroccan fans took to the streets following the 2-0 loss to France in the World Cup which knocked the team out of the tournament. According to the report, a policeman was injured while trying to repel the large crowd.

In the videos published on the networks, lines of policemen were seen marching down the street behind defenders and setting up barriers on both sides of the fallen policeman. The report described that the area was filled with police after Morocco’s loss, whose fans rioted in the city streets, blocking streets, burning tires and lighting pyrotechnic devices.

The game was sealed by goals from Mbappe, who also missed a penalty, and Dembele – and advanced France to the semi-finals of the World Cup, where they will meet Spain or Belgium. The game will take place next Tuesday at 22:00 in Dallas, USA.

France also eliminated Morocco in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when they beat them 0-2 in the semi-finals, and are now trying to reach a third consecutive World Cup final.
