Sun Phu Quoc Airways expands flights to Hong Kong

The Hanoi – Hong Kong route has a frequency of one round trip per day, expected to operate from September 30. According to plan, the flight from Hanoi departs at 9:15 a.m. and lands in Hong Kong at 12:05 p.m. (local time). The return flight takes off at 1:05 p.m. and lands in Hanoi at 1:55 p.m.

On the Phu Quoc – Hong Kong route, Sun PhuQuoc Airways doubled the frequency to two round trips per day from July 14. The flight from Phu Quoc departs at 3:30 p.m., arriving in Hong Kong at 7:20 p.m. (local time). The return flight took off at 8:20 p.m. and landed in Phu Quoc at 10:10 p.m. Previously, the route opened on May 22 on aircraft number 9G502.

According to the airline’s representative, opening new routes and increasing operating frequency aims to expand connections between Vietnam and Hong Kong – one of Asia’s financial, commercial and aviation centers.

On the occasion of opening ticket sales for new routes, Sun PhuQuoc Airways offers a 20% discount on basic ticket prices for all ticket classes when booking through the official website or application. The program applies to flights from Hanoi during July 21 – August 21, not applicable during peak periods. The airline also continues to maintain a preferential policy for children with a price equal to 75% of the adult ticket price and for passengers aged 60 and over at 85% of the normal price.

In addition to expanding the flight network, SPA said it will continue to develop the “Resort in the Sky” model (resort aviation), gradually improving service quality according to international 5-star standards. The airline put into operation the new generation passenger cabin, signature La Festa scent, wireless entertainment system (IFE), checked baggage and meals according to ticket class.

Members of Sun Signature – Sun Group’s loyalty program, accumulate points from each flight to redeem award tickets, baggage, seats and use incentives in the Sun Group ecosystem. The program also integrates global payment facilities via NCB and Visa, providing a seamless experience from flight to destination.

According to the business, expanding the flight route to Hong Kong is the next step in the strategy of increasing the international flight network, taking Phu Quoc as the connection center. The airline also developed more domestic routes according to the “hub and spoke” model to diversify the source of visitors to Ngoc Island.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to increase its fleet size to 32 aircraft this year and put the Airbus A330 wide-body line into operation from September. The company said this is the foundation for the company to gradually realize the “Rise to the World” strategy, contributing to expanding Vietnam’s aviation connectivity.
