Vietravel Airlines is about to open the Ho Chi Minh City – Shenzhen route

The airline identifies the Ho Chi Minh City – Shenzhen route as a potential flight, meeting the increasing demand for trade, investment, tourism and the search for goods sources between the two markets. Shenzhen is considered the gateway to the Greater Bay Area (GBA), China’s leading economic and technological region, including Guangzhou and Hong Kong. “With this direct flight, passengers can easily and conveniently access key urban areas in the GBA region,” said a representative of Vietravel Airlines.

In the opposite direction, Ho Chi Minh City acts as an economic center and gateway for Chinese tourists to explore Vietnam. Through Vietravel Airlines’ flight network and tourism ecosystem, passengers from Shenzhen can continue their journey to famous tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang or Hanoi.

According to the plan, flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Shenzhen have a flight time of about 2 hours and 50 minutes. The airline arranges flight times in the evening and early morning to optimize schedules for business travelers, fair participants and tourist groups. The flight product is built according to the orientation of “direct flight – accessible price – clear service”, creating a competitive choice compared to current transit routes.

“The Ho Chi Minh City – Shenzhen route is a premise for the airline to continue to research and promote flights to other potential destinations in China such as Chongqing, Kunming, Hangzhou or Nanjing in the near future. To prepare for this event, the airline has just held an Agent Conference in Shenzhen with the participation of more than 100 partners, airline agents and travel companies in the Chinese market. The event had the presence of Mr. Pham Chi Cuong, Trade Representative of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, along with the company’s board of directors and strategic partners. The conference not only introduced new routes, but also acted as a forum for trade connections, updating sales policies and strengthening coordination with the local distribution system.

Representatives of the airline’s board of directors shared that this route not only shortens the distance between the two economic centers, but also expands the connection between Vietnam and the Greater Bay Area.

In particular, putting the flight into operation in August is also to anticipate the series of activities of APEC 2026. In particular, the APEC Summit Week is scheduled to take place in Shenzhen in November, promising to create great travel demand between the two countries.
