The rush begins: these will be the days with the longest queues in Israel

About 2.6 million passengers are expected to pass through Ben-Gurion Airport during the month of August 2026. During the month, 47 airlines will operate, including the Israeli companies, flying passengers to a variety of destinations around the world. The most sought-after destinations in August: Greece, Cyprus, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, the USA and Germany.

During the weekdays of August (excluding weekends), between 90,000 and 95,000 passengers on incoming and outgoing flights are expected to pass through Israel every day.

On the following dates, about 100,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport: 6.8.26, 13.8.26, 17.8.26, 20.8.26, 27.8.26.

• The Airports Authority recommends to passengers:
• Arrive at the airport 3 hours before the departure time
• Check in in advance, as much as possible
• Get updated in advance on the terminal from which the flight departs and the updated departure time.
• Use the self-service stations to tag and send your luggage.
• Passengers who checked in in advance and are flying with hand luggage only are invited to use the W complex, which allows fast transit.
• It is recommended to get to the airport by public transport.
• Reserve servicemen and women are asked to perform a brief inspection of the bags before arriving in Israel, and to make sure that there are no cartridges, ammunition or military equipment left in them, in order to avoid unnecessary delays during the security check.
