At noon on April 29, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam, Nguyen Thanh Hong, confirmed with VnExpress Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer is on a private vacation with his family at a resort in Dien Ban town, about 6 km from the center of Hoi An ancient town.

On April 28, on social networks, there appeared a number of photos of Vietnamese fans taking photos with Roger Federer on the tennis practice court in Hoi An. A personal page named Le Thu Guillon has 493,000 followers and posted photos checking in with the Swiss legend.
The information about the legendary tennis player traveling to Hoi An made his fans excited. On social networks, some fans spread pictures of the tennis player wearing a conical hat and thought it was a picture of him checking in in Vietnam. In fact, that is a picture Roger took in February during a trip to Thailand with his family. Currently, Federer has not posted any photos on his personal page about his and his family’s trip to Hoi An.
Roger Federer was born in 1981, in Basel, Switzerland. He is one of the greatest players in tennis history, winning a total of 20 Grand Slam titles in his career. Federer won the throne six times at the World Tour Finals, winning the 2008 Olympic men’s doubles gold medal. In September 2022, the legendary tennis player announced his retirement, ending his career with the felt ball.
