Vietnamese guests give paintings to Roger Federer

 

Coincidentally meeting Roger Federer while relaxing at a hotel in Hoi An, a Hanoi tourist bought a lacquer painting as a gift for the legendary tennis player to remind him of his trip to Vietnam.

Businessman Le Dac Lam met Roger Federer on the morning of April 30 and sent the Swiss tennis player a lacquer painting with a Vietnamese village scene as a gift. Mr. Lam, 39 years old, happened to know that the tennis legend was vacationing at a resort near the center of Hoi An, so he asked some acquaintances to ask Roger Federer for advice on meeting to give gifts and they agreed.

Mr. Lam said the tennis player was “very friendly and elegant”. When taking photos with guests at the resort, Roger proactively took off his glasses, smiled brightly and shook everyone’s hands. The meeting took place quickly because Mr. Lam did not want to disturb the baseball legend’s vacation.

Because he works in the tourism industry, Mr. Lam wanted to give a lacquer painting to Roger Federer to “impress Vietnam”.

“People like Roger Federer don’t lack luxury paintings, so I thought of giving him something rustic that would make him remember his trip to Vietnam,” Mr. Lam said, revealing that he had to ask friends to search for paintings. gallery in Da Nang to find a satisfactory painting. Roger Federer came to Vietnam to participate in some sports exchange activities in Da Nang, then he spent time relaxing with his family at a five-star resort in Dien Ban town, about 6 km from Hoi An center.

On April 28, some pictures of Vietnamese fans taking pictures with Roger Federer on the tennis practice court in Hoi An appeared on social networks. A personal page named Le Thu Guillon has 493,000 followers and posted photos checking in with the Swiss legend.

The information about the legendary tennis player traveling to Hoi An made his fans excited. Some fans left comments on tennis forums inviting him to stay longer and visit other cities.

Roger Federer was born in 1981 in Basel, Switzerland. He is one of the greatest players in tennis history, winning a total of 20 Grand Slam titles in his career. Federer won the throne six times at the World Tour Finals, winning the 2008 Olympic men’s doubles gold medal. In September 2022, the legendary tennis player announced his retirement, ending his career with the felt ball.
