Arakchi: Due to the ceasefire in Lebanon – the Strait of Hormuz has been completely opened

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, updated today that “the Strait of Hormuz is completely open and ready for business and full transit, but the naval blockade will remain in full force as far as Iran is concerned only, until the time when our deal with Iran is 100% completed. This process should be conducted very quickly, since most of the points have already been discussed.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced earlier today that Iran has completely opened the Strait of Hormuz. In a tweet on Network X, Araqchi wrote: “In accordance with the cease-fire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining time period of the cease-fire.

Following his announcement – the price of oil dropped by about 10% within minutes. Immediately after Araqchi’s announcement, US President Donald Trump responded by thanking Iran.

At the same time, the US Central Command published documentation of the blockade imposed by the US on Iranian ports. The footage shows a destroyer guiding an Iranian vessel back to port. In addition, it was noted that so far 19 ships “obeyed the instructions” and changed their direction back to Iran.
