STOCK EXCHANGE: The bullishness also caught on in the Helsinki Stock Exchange – Neste and Fortum in decline

The Helsinki Stock Exchange ended the week in a hopeful mood. The announcement of the opening of the Strait of Hormuz also made the domestic stock market rise along with the rest of the world. The general index was quoted with an increase of 0.7 percent at 13434.30 points.

In the most traded stocks Nordea was up 0.8 percent and Nokia up 0.6 percent. Hopes for an end to the energy crisis weighed down Fortum’s to a 3.5 percent drop in the stock and Liquid to a decrease of 4.6 percent.

At the tip of the rise was a machine shop Keslan share at 10.9 percent. There was no recent news from the company, but in March the company said it was making a strategic expansion into the defense industry. Since the beginning of the year, the company’s share price has risen by almost 142 percent.

Kone is considering the offer

According to Bloomberg sources, the elevator company Kone (+1.9%) are seeking an agreement TK Elevator with by the end of April.

Bloomberg already reported in March, citing anonymous sources, that Kone was making an offer for TK Elevator and that TK Elevator’s main owners would like 25 billion euros for the company.

Kone has been pursuing TK Elevator for a long time. Kone tried to buy the business Thyssenkruppilta already in 2020, but the German industrial giant sold the business to venture capitalists Advent Internationalille and Cinvenille with 17.2 billion euros.

According to Bloomberg’s sources, Advent and Cinven are still exploring other options, including listing TK Elevator on the stock exchange, and it is not certain that the deals with Kone will materialize.

Representatives of Advent, Cinven and Kone declined to comment on the subject to Bloomberg. A representative of TK Elevator did not respond to Bloomberg’s requests for comment.

Construction company YIT (+2.7%) announced on Friday that it has concluded the change negotiations resulting from the renewal of the operating model and efficiency measures. As a result of the efficiency measures, 95 tasks will end in Finland.

YIT estimates that it will achieve annual, inflation-adjusted cost savings of 18 million euros by the end of 2027 through personnel reductions and other efficiency measures. Of these, seven million euros are estimated to be implemented already in 2026.

Personnel service company Eezy announced the results of the subscription rights issue. The subscription period for the share issue ended on Thursday, and according to the preliminary results, Eezy will receive approximately 10 million euros in gross proceeds from the issue. The bid was oversubscribed.

The final result of the share issue will be published approximately on April 21, 2026 after the board approves the entries made in the share issue. The new shares to be issued in the share issue represent approximately 80 percent of all Eezy shares after the share issue is completed.
