A young woman planned an attack against the Jewish community in Texas – was arrested by the FBI

Its stated purpose, according to the suspicions attributed to it, was to “kill as many Jews as possible” by trampling worshipers in the “Beit Israel” community, which is considered the oldest Jewish community in the country.

Court documents show that Hicks planned the terrorist attack together with two other suspects who are now known only as “Teagan” and “Angel”. The two have not yet been arrested and their whereabouts are unknown, a fact that causes ongoing concern among the American security authorities.

At the same time, the FBI’s counterterrorism task force announced that another minor from Harris County, Texas, was also charged with involvement in the case. Although the legal documents specified April 2028 as the target date for the attack, the district attorney clarified that the date does not reflect the totality of the evidence and that there were warnings of the incident in the immediate time frame, which led to the closure of the synagogue complex and the adjacent school last Wednesday as a precaution.

Hicks’ father, in an interview with a local TV station quoted in Fox News reports, strongly denied the accusations and provided a slightly detached angle from reality: “She’s a good girl, she’s just a fantasy video game player,” the father claimed. He even added an ironic detail that may raise doubts about the feasibility of the original plan – his daughter does not even have a driver’s license or access to a car.

The Associated Press noted that the branch investigation is being conducted in federal cooperation across three different states. The FBI praised the public vigilance that led to the arrest, and said in an official statement: “This is an outstanding example of when you see something of concern, you report it to law enforcement.”

The incident occurs against the background of heightened vigilance in the Jewish communities in the US, when just last month a terrorist incident occurred in Michigan, in which a car driver crashed into a synagogue, injured a security guard and then took his own life.
