Finnish women’s clothing company Voglia goes bankrupt

Women’s clothing company Voglia has filed for bankruptcy. According to the insolvency register, bankruptcy has been initiated in the district court of Kanta-Häme on Wednesday, February 18. Be the first to report on it Yle.

Voglia’s website states that ordering from the company’s online store has been suspended for the time being.

In what was published on the company’s Instagram account on Wednesday in the update it is announced that Voglia’s operations are ending. The text says that the company’s internationalization would have required significant investments, for which it could not find a suitable financing solution.

Chairman of the board of the company Markku Virtanen did not want to comment further on the matter over the phone for the time being.

Voglia is a family business founded in Lammi in 1983. Its CEO is Katriina Virtanen. The company’s result for the fiscal year 2021–2024 has been loss-making.
