Vingroup is in the top 5 companies with the largest capitalization in Southeast Asia

Vingroup’s VIC shares were priced at more than 212,000 VND per unit when closing the trading session on April 24, an increase of 60% in one month. The capitalization of this group also exceeded the mark of 1.6 million billion VND, equivalent to more than 60 billion USD, ranking first in the Vietnamese stock market.

According to data from Companies Market Cap, Vingroup’s stock market value currently ranks fourth in Southeast Asia, after DBS Group (Singapore), Delta Electronics (Thailand) and OCBC (Singapore). This is also the first time a Vietnamese enterprise has reached the top in the region in this index.

Currently, DBS Group, headquartered in Singapore, is the enterprise with the largest capitalization in Southeast Asia, with 126.5 billion USD. This group is one of the largest banks in Asia, providing many financial services and was established in 1968. Also with over 100 billion USD in capitalization is Delta Electroinics, a technology company from Thailand.

In Asia, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s corporate value also exceeds many big names such as Kia, KB Financial Group, Shinhan Financial Group (Korea); Nintendo, Panasonic, Sumitomo, Daikin (Japan)…

Vingroup is a multi-industry corporation, operating in many fields such as electric vehicle production, technology, real estate, infrastructure, energy, steel… This enterprise was founded in 1993 in Ukraine by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong.

This year, this company plans to bring in 485,000 billion VND in revenue, an increase of nearly 46% compared to the previous year. Profit after tax is expected to reach 35,000 billion VND, nearly 3 times higher than the 2025 target.

In addition to Vingroup, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong’s ecosystem also has 4 businesses listed on the stock market including VinFast, Vinpearl, Vinhomes and Vincom Retail. At the 2026 annual meeting taking place on April 22, the billionaire said he was about to launch an initial public offering (IPO) for Green SM. Pre-listing activities will be carried out in a few months.

Green SM was founded by Mr. Vuong in 2023, currently has a charter capital of more than 43,000 billion VND, operates mainly in the field of taxi and ride-hailing technology, using all VinFast products. According to Mordor Intelligence, the business surpassed Grab and Be to lead the 4-wheeled ride-hailing segment in Vietnam in the fourth quarter of 2025, accounting for 51.5% of the market share by total transaction value (GMV).

In addition to the upcoming listing of Green SM, Vingroup Chairman also affirmed that VinFast, a company in the ecosystem, can record positive EBITDA (profit index before interest, taxes and depreciation) in Vietnam from this year and globally next year.
