Juhani Jasu announced the end of his long career.

SM league conkar center Juhani Jasu ends his long hockey career. Jasu, 38, told about it on Wednesday on Instagram.

“I was incredibly privileged when I got to play more than a thousand games and about 20 years as a professional, depending on how you count. I was never the most talented in the traditional sense, but I think that my talent was that I loved being a hockey player,” Jasu writes on Instagram.

Jasu played a total of 907 SM league regular season matches in his career, which is the tenth most all-time. In them he made 99+116=215 powers.

Jasu spent the last two seasons in the ranks of HIFK. This season, however, the attacker did not even play a match due to injury.

“I played through my career with very few major injuries, but in the end my career ended with an injury. The intention was to play for several more years, but this is how it sometimes goes.”

Jasu played in the league between 2006 and 2025 in the shirts of Luko, HPK, Tappara, TPS and HIFK. He won two Finnish championships in Tappara. At TPS, he was the team captain for four seasons.
