Comments on PSG-FCB: “You sit in the dressing room and have the feeling that something is still possible”

Joshua Kimmich (FC Bayern, on Amazon Prime): “It was to be expected that it would be an exchange of blows – but it wasn’t to be expected that openly. You stood on the pitch for a bit and thought: Wow, what’s going on here? Because we were three goals worse, there was no way we were worse. You sit in the dressing room and have the feeling: Something is still possible. We just have to win – in quotation marks.”

Jonathan Tah (FC Bayern): “It was a very, very intense game. Despite the defeat, we showed in many phases what kind of team we are. It’s only 1-0 – and we showed that we can score at least two goals. That’s why we’re going into the second leg with full self-confidence, we’re giving it our all in the Allianz Arena and we want to get to the final.”

Vincent Kompany (Trainer FC Bayern): “I had the feeling that it was possible, a game like that. Of course, normally: If you concede five goals away from home, then it’s over in the semi-finals, but we score four and of course we can score two or three more.”

Christoph Kramer (TV expert): “It was the Wild West, I’ve never seen a game like that in my life. It could be 7-2 for Bayern or 7-2 for PSG, that was amazing. It was a world-class game, simply good from 22 people.”

Mats Hummels (TV expert): “It was a bit like Inter against Barca in the semi-finals last year, but it was still a step up.”
