Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang joins the Trump delegation to China

In a post that he published, Trump wrote that he intends to ask Chinese President Xi Jinping to “open China” to American companies, to allow technology and business leaders to “work their magic.”

“Jensen is participating in the summit at the invitation of President Trump, to support the United States and the goals of the administration,” said a statement from Nvidia. At the same time, Nvidia shares extended their gains to 2.3% in late Blue Ocean trading as of 10:00 a.m. in Singapore.

The move comes amid public criticism in the United States surrounding the possibility that the administration will allow China to purchase advanced artificial intelligence chips from Nvidia. In recent months, Huang has become a prominent figure in Washington, with frequent visits to the White House and Congress in an attempt to influence American export policy in the field of artificial intelligence.
