Ninh Binh has a large-scale multi-purpose sports park

Sun Sports City Ninh Binh is located within the campus of Sun Urban City, opening on the morning of May 30. Attending the ceremony were representatives of local leaders, former head coach of the national women’s football team Mai Duc Chung, player Tran Thi Duyen and members of the Ha Nam women’s football club.

Sun Sports City Ninh Binh Park has a synchronous infrastructure design serving 7 popular sports including football, pickleball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton and athletics. Among them, the most prominent is a complex of 41 pickleball courts equipped with a full roof, helping players maintain activities regardless of weather conditions. The investor divides the field system into many categories from standard to high-end to meet a variety of training and competition needs. In particular, the V-VIP subdivision possesses an independent dome design, a grandstand with a capacity of more than 500 seats, a professional lighting system, dressing rooms and high-class culinary services. According to the investment unit, this infrastructure meets strict technical standards to host tournaments under the global PPA Tour system in the future.

The business representative also said that they are speeding up the construction progress of a central stadium with nearly 3,000 seats, expected to be completed in August. This project integrates an 11-player soccer field that meets FIFA standards, an 8-lane athletics track and an area dedicated to basic Olympic sports such as high jump, long jump, and weight throwing. When put into operation, the stadium is qualified to host national sports tournaments. In the central area, the park places a symbol of 5 bronze circles, harmoniously combining the spirit of international Olympic sports and the image of the Doi Tam drum bearing the imprint of indigenous culture.

Residents and visitors can freely enter and exit, take a relaxing walk on the 1,900 m long running route winding around the campus. This space acts as a green lung of the urban area with more than 1,000 large-scale trees. In the next phase, the park continues to add amenities such as a four-season swimming pool, gym, children’s play area and living space specifically for the elderly.

Mr. Mai Duc Chung highly appreciated the investment scale of the project. He commented that the modern stadium system here meets professional training conditions well, creating a solid foundation to train a generation of athletes to reach the continent and the world.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the organizing committee conducted a Community Sports Festival gathering hundreds of participants. The pickleball friendly tournament took place with the participation of 29 men’s pairs and 19 mixed pairs. Besides, soccer and badminton matches also bring a passionate competitive atmosphere.

On the occasion of opening, the park applies a policy of 50% discount on stadium rental prices for customers who book at least 24 hours in advance from June 1 to June 14. The program does not apply to 11-player soccer fields and VIP and VVIP pickleball fields.

The appearance of the 22-hectare sports complex contributes to completing the Sun Urban City multi-utility integrated urban model. From the park, visitors can easily move to Sun World water park, Times Square and Vuifest festival street.
