We have tested the Kärcher K 7 Comfort Premium Connect pressure washer: the best thing that could happen to the garden
With the arrival of summer, the tasks of getting the garden and outdoor areas ready become a priority. Over the last few weeks we have been testing la Kärcher K 7 Comfort Premium Connectone of the most advanced models of the brand’s new Comfort Series, and the difference compared to the most basic pressure washers can be seen from the first use.The first thing that caught our attention was that it is not only about a more powerful machine, but of a team designed to make work more comfortablein a product that -also- comes practically assembled (something that is especially appreciated). In addition, it connects very easily to the app and it will take you just ten minutes between taking it out of the box and putting it to work.

When using these types of tools for long periods, ergonomics makes a big difference, and here Kärcher has paid special attention. The new G 180 Q pistol incorporates a 180 degree rotating handlewhich allows you to adopt more natural positions during cleaning. Furthermore, it requires up to 50% less force to hold the trigger, something that we have especially noticed when cleaning large surfaces such as terraces, paths or perimeter walls. The sensation is much more fluid and less tiring than with conventional models.

Another aspect that we have appreciated is the Anti-Chaos system of the Comfort Series. The water inlet and hose outlet are located on opposite sides of the machine, avoiding entanglements and facilitating movements. Added to this is the PremiumFlex hose, especially flexible and light, which provides greater freedom of movement during work. Yes indeed, The way to collect the cable is designed for more organized people, who roll it up to leave it well stored (when the rear bag that other models have and where you can put it ‘in bulk’, fulfilled the function perfectly and allowed us to store it more quickly).

THE 4 IN 1 HEAD MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

In our case, where the garden requires constant maintenance during the warm months, we have found multiple practical applications. It is especially useful for recover outdoor floors after winter, remove accumulated dirt on terraces or clean outdoor furniture before the season of use. Precisely for this type of task we appreciated the presence of the 4-in-1 Multi-Jet lance, which integrates four types of jet in a single accessory.

Simply rotate the head to change between different configurations depending on the surface we are cleaning, avoiding continuous changes of accessories. For garden furniture, for example, the wide flat jet allows for effective but material-friendly cleaning.

We also found the Eco!Mode function particularly interesting. In many cases it is not necessary to use all the available power and this mode allows the pressure to be reduced to save up to 30% water and 35% energy. In regular garden maintenance, where it is often more about removing dust, dirt or surface dirt than dealing with embedded stains, this mode is especially practical.

CONNECTIVITY AND AN LCD SCREEN THAT MEETS

Another of the elements that most differentiates the K 7 Comfort Premium Connect from more basic models is connectivity. The machine can connect via Bluetooth to the Kärcher Home & Garden appwhich offers recommendations on the appropriate pressure depending on the surface we are going to clean and guides the user step by step. Something especially useful for those who are not familiar with the use of pressure washers.

The gun itself incorporates an LCD screen from which you can check pressure levels, detergent settings or activate Eco modeso that all relevant information is always in view during work.

Although we have used it mainly for outdoor maintenance, one of the great advantages of this model is its versatility. The possibility of easily adapting the pressure and type of jet allows it to be used in very different tasks. The most classic case is that of the car, an interesting extra for those who have a garden and can do this type of quick cleaning at home.

However, we have also found some aspects that could be improved. Weighing 19 kilograms without accessories, It is not exactly a light pressure washer. Although it is barely noticeable during use thanks to the transport wheels, it is noticeable when you have to move it between different levels, climb steps or store it at the end of the day. We have also missed a little more length in the power cable, which remains at 5 meters and may require the use of an extension cord in large gardens or plots.

That said, Kärcher has incorporated several solutions to make transport and storage easier. The K 7 Comfort Premium Connect has large wheels, a telescopic handle adjustable and lockable aluminum, as well as different spaces to store accessories directly on the machine itself. These are details that may go unnoticed in the technical sheet, but end up making a difference when used frequently.

After several weeks of testing, our feeling is that the Kärcher K 7 Comfort Premium Connect It stands out not only for its power, but for the user experience it offers. The combination of ergonomics, connectivity, ease of use and efficiency make it one of the most recommended pressure washers on the market and its price (which is close to 500 euros with offers) is well justified.
