Sonja Brandtmayer is the new general director of Wiener Städtische

Müller is moving to Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein, which is the main shareholder of the Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), as CEO. There he succeeds Robert Lasshofer, who will remain chairman of the supervisory board of Wiener Städtische.

The above-mentioned resolutions were made at today’s Supervisory Board meeting. According to the information, Lasshofer has been CEO of the Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein since 2021. As General Director of Wiener Städtische from 2010 to 2020, he played a key role in shaping the company’s development. In the future, he will be available to the VIG Group in an advisory capacity. He also remains chairman of the supervisory board of Wiener Städtische Versicherung and a member of the supervisory board of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG).

Müller became General Director of Wiener Städtische in 2021; before that, he held this position at Donau Versicherung. He started working at Wiener Städtische in 2011 as Sales Director. He was then responsible for the risk and finance department. Before joining the VIG Group, the lawyer worked in the financial sector for many years.

The new general director has been there for ten years

Brandtmayer joined Wiener Städtische in 2016 and previously held several management positions, including heading health and accident insurance. She then headed the Vienna State Directorate of Styria. In 2020, the lawyer moved to the board. As deputy general director, she is responsible for sales, health insurance, marketing and advertising and Slovenia.

Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein is the main shareholder of Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe (VIG), the holding company of the internationally active VIG insurance group. The insurance association supports the VIG insurance group in cultural and social matters.
