The return of the Z Fighters: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 arrives in 2027

A decade after the last episode, Bandai Namco’s franchise is preparing for a generational turning point with the announcement of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, scheduled for 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series The title will transport players to Age 1000, a completely unexplored era but born directly from the concepts and imagination of the original author, Akira Toriyama. The first trailer focused on West City reveals a vibrant and structured urban context, which develops around West City University, breaking away from the classic desolate arenas to offer a real simulation of life and training.

The core of the experience will once again revolve around the creation of a personalized avatar, who this time will be called upon to integrate into the futuristic society of the city and join the ranks of the Great Saiya Squad. Alongside historical pillars of the brand such as Bulma and more recent additions such as Gamma 1, the game will introduce a cast of new faces, including Brett, Lilica, ROM and Tap, destined to expand the lore of the narrative universe. The role-playing component therefore promises to be deeper, linking the evolution of the hero to the dynamics of the city and to a wide-ranging narrative.

On the gameplay front, the high-speed combat system is enriched by a clear differentiation based on the selected race. If the Saiyans will be able to rely on the canonical and multiple Super Saiyan transformations to progressively increase their strength, the Earthlings will benefit from a completely new tactical approach thanks to the Soul Assist and Soul Switch functions. The first will allow you to launch devastating combined attacks by calling in an ally, while the second will allow you to temporarily assimilate the style and powers of legendary warriors such as Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Future Trunks and Tien, radically changing the course of aerial battles.
