HP renews its AI management platform and launches new Poly headsets for hybrid work

HP has announced the expansion of the capabilities of its platform Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), with new features based on artificial intelligence (AI) to automate team management and improve collaborationin addition to presenting new devices from the Poly range, among which stand out Poly Focus 6 wireless headphones and a new meeting room systemaimed at boosting productivity in hybrid work environments.

In a press conference for specialized media, the company explained that the Workforce Experience Platform update is aimed at facilitating the work of IT departments in a context in which Digital environments are increasingly complex due to the increase in applications based on artificial intelligence and increased equipment processing needs.

Among the new features of the platform, the ability to detect possible incidents in advanceidentify bottlenecks related to device memory and provide data-driven recommendations on updates o configuration changes that can improve the performance of the equipment, but always taking into account the users and their needs.

“Organizations need to go beyond simple device management and take a proactive approach to the digital employee experience,” said Mario Calvo, director of HP Solutions, who insists that the platform’s new capabilities help organizations “Transforming data into actions that improve productivity simplify operations” and allow “to offer more connected experiences to employees.”

AUTOMATED WORKFLOWS

The platform also incorporates Workflow Buildera tool that allows you to create Automated workflows using a visual interfacewithout the need for programming knowledge. With it it is possible to automate common tasks such as disk cleaning, updating drivers or automatically creating incidents.

Another new function is Remote Connectwhich integrates remote access to equipment directly from WXP. This tool provides technicians with contextual information about the status of devices to speed up problem resolution and reduce support times.

HP has also added a carbon footprint report which provides information on the energy consumption and estimated emissions of devices, with the aim of facilitating decisions related to efficiency and sustainability.

In the software management section, the new License Lens function analyzes the actual usage of installed applications to detect underused, duplicate or unnecessary licenses, helping to optimize costs associated with business software.

Likewise, the update incorporates notifications integrated into Microsoft Teams to facilitate communication between IT departments and employees, as well as a specific module, WXP Collaboration, which monitors platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex and relates the quality of video calls to the status of devices and the network to detect the origin of incidents.

RENOVATED HARDWARE FOR BUSINESS ENVIRONMENTS

Along with these software developments, HP has renewed the Poly range with the launch of Poly Studio Room Computeand meeting room system compatible with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and new Poly Focus 6 wireless headphones. These incorporate improvements in noise cancellation and are aimed at facilitating hybrid work, in addition to having the TCO10 sustainability certification.

With these announcements, the company expands both its software offering for managing employees’ digital experience and its catalog of devices aimed at improving collaboration and productivity in organizations.
