Two-thirds of listed businesses meet information disclosure standards

According to the survey report on information disclosure activities in 2026 announced by the IR Awards program on July 6, 459 out of 685 businesses listed on HOSE and HNX met information disclosure standards.

The survey was conducted over a 12-month period, from May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026.

Compared to the previous year, the number of businesses meeting standards was almost flat. The results show that the quality of information disclosure remains stable even though the evaluation criteria are tightened and businesses must meet new regulations.

From the beginning of this year, according to regulations in Circular 68/2024 of the Ministry of Finance, listed enterprises must simultaneously publish information in Vietnamese and English for periodic reports, unusual information and regulatory disclosures. This is to increase investors’ access to information, reduce information asymmetry and bring the market closer to international practices.

In terms of capitalization scale, the group of large-cap financial enterprises, including banks, securities and insurance, continues to lead with 86% of enterprises meeting information disclosure standards.

Meanwhile, the group of large-cap non-financial enterprises recorded the lowest compliance rate, at 64%, down from 72% the previous year. The mid-cap group had 71% of businesses meeting the standards, while the small-cap group increased to 65%, 2 percentage points higher than the previous year.

If divided by industry, finance continues to be the field with the highest percentage of businesses meeting standards, at 78%. Some sectors improved significantly such as information technology (up 9 percentage points), industry (up 6 percentage points) and utilities (up 5 percentage points).

In contrast, some sectors recorded a sharp decrease in the rate of qualified businesses, including health care (down 20 percentage points), communication services (down 31 percentage points), energy (down 9 percentage points) and essential consumption (down 4 percentage points).

The real estate industry maintains the rate of businesses meeting standards at 59%, almost unchanged compared to the previous year and continues to be in the group with a low level of market compliance.

IR Awards is an annual program organized by Vietstock in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Financial Executives (VAFE) and FiLi e-magazine since 2011, to survey and evaluate listed companies with good investor relations and information disclosure activities.
