Fault at Milan Central station, resolved on the Tirrenica: trains delayed up to 80 minutes

Traffic is gradually resuming in the Milan hub after technical checks on the electricity line at Milan Central and has returned to normal on the Tyrrhenian railway line, where a technical problem was recorded near Follonica. High Speed, Intercity, Eurocity and Regional trains recorded increased travel times of up to 80 minutes. This was announced by FS Infomobilità.

Replacement ‘Ponte al Pino’

In both windows the will be suspendedrailway traffic sulle tratte Florence Campo di Marte-Florence Rifredi e Florence Campo di Marte-Florence Santa Maria Novellawith effects onnational connectionswhich cross the Tuscan capital.

A strategic intervention

The intervention represents a significant stage in the journey ofrenewaland strengthening ofsafetyof a strategic infrastructure forcity ​​mobilitywhich connects the center ofFirenze con l’area di Field of Mars. Changes to trains

The movement of trains along distancewill however be guaranteed through theTyrrhenian lineon which two trains will be routed every hour of the reportRome-Milan/Turin. For these connections, increases in travel times of up to approxtwo hours and thirty minutesalready included in the sales systems.

Guaranteed connections

Four trains every hour with origin or destination will also be insuredFlorence Santa Maria Novellaand links to theNord (MilanoBresciaBolzano e Venezia), as well as three trains every hour with origin or destinationFlorence Campo di Marteand links to theSud (RomaNapoliSalernoReggio CalabriaBari e Taranto).

Replacement services

For some of the trains there will be an active connection withbusbetween the stations ofFlorence Santa Maria Novella e Florence Campo di Martein order to guarantee thecontinuity of the journey. In these cases the lengthening of travel times will be approximatelyone hour and thirty minutes.
