Mojtaba Khamenei promises “revenge” and that his father’s murderers “will not die peacefully in bed”

The Iranian supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, warned this Saturday that the death of his father and predecessor in office, the “martyred leader” Ali Khamenei, will have “revenge” and that those responsible “will not die peacefully in bed.”

Ali Khamenei died on February 28 on the first day of the latest Israeli and US bombing campaign on Iran and was buried on Friday.

“We promise for you to maintain your teachings and follow the straight path that you marked with perseverance, without fear of the difficulties of this path (…). We promise revenge for your pure blood and for all the martyrs of these two wars of the criminal murderers without honor,” Khamenei stated in a message to the nation published this Saturday by Iranian public television, IRIB.

“Revenge is the desire of our nation and it must be done. Soon the free people of the world will fulfill their part of this divine mission,” he added in reference to the “murderers” who “are on the list.”

This revenge does not depend on himself, nor on other political leaders. “It will be done whether we are there or not,” he stressed. Those responsible for Ali Khamenei’s death “will take their dream of a peaceful death in bed to the grave,” he stressed.

Khamenei has also expressed his appreciation to the Shiite faithful in Iran and also in Iraq for the “tens of millions” of people who attended the events for the late Iranian leader in cities such as Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala and Mashhad. This “historic” number of attendees at the events in memory of Ali Khamenei “breaks the enemies.”
