Gonzalo Cabreracurrent director of Education and Culture at Ifema Madrid, will assume the direction of ARCOmadrid starting next October, after the departure of its current director, Maribel López to the Mi Foundationró, as reported this Friday, July 17, by Ifema Madrid, which highlights its “solid track record” of more than twenty years linked to the management of different cultural sectors and with a “excellent knowledge of contemporary art.”

Likewise, he emphasizes that in recent years, he has promoted “outstanding and important” support programs for artists, galleries and collectors, promoted the acquisition of works for public collections and consolidated a broad network of collaboration with museums, institutions, professionals and art market agents.

“This new stage will be aimed at reinforce ARCO’s international leadershipexpand its capacity to generate opportunities for the sector and project the fair towards the new challenges of the global ecosystem of contemporary art,” he says.

THE NEXT EDITION, STILL WITH THE SEAL OF LÓPEZ
