In less than three hours: three people drowned, one died and two were in critical condition

Three people were pulled from the sea today (Saturday) when they were unconscious in less than three hours. A 64-year-old man was evacuated from the Neve Yam beach in critical condition and pronounced dead at the hospital, a 71-year-old man was evacuated from the Blue Bay beach in Netanya and a 65-year-old man from a beach in Herzliya – both during CPR.

On the Neve Yam beach, MDA medics Helena Makdad and Linoi Azoulai said that when they arrived at the scene, the man was already unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, after passersby began to perform basic CPR on him. His death was determined there,” they said.

A short time later, a 71-year-old man was pulled from the water at Blue Bay Beach in Netanya. MDA medics Maor Brantz and Yonatan Yankilevitz said that they arrived at the scene using an MDA ATV and saw that basic CPR was already being performed on the patient under the guidance of the 101 center.

About twenty minutes later, another report was received, this time from a beach in Herzliya, where a 65-year-old man was pulled from the water unconscious. MDA paramedic Idan Sheena said: “We started with advanced resuscitation operations, put him in an intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was critical”
