Sony and Insomniac Games have presented a new line of hardware dedicated to Marvel’s Wolverine, ahead of the game’s release on PS5 set for September 15th. At the center of the initiative is the PS5 Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Digital Edition bundle, which pairs the console with a matching DualSense controller and a copy of the game.

The design is inspired by the Battle Reborn costume worn by Logan in the Insomniac title, with a bright yellow finish crossed by markings that recall the cuts of the adamantium claws. The same workmanship appears on the DualSense, also available as a stand-alone accessory, while the console covers allow a glimpse of the inside of the PS5 through the engravings.

The graphics were signed by Jock, a Scottish illustrator known for his comics works, who collaborated on the creation of the key art for Marvel’s Wolverine and brought a freehand style to the project. Marcus Smith of Insomniac Games underlined how Jock’s illustrations manage to convey the brutal and kinetic nature of the character, particularly in the relationship with his indestructible claws.

Alongside the Battle Yellow variant, designed for both the bundle and the standalone covers of the PS5 and PS5 Pro, Sony has also announced a second line dedicated exclusively to the PS5 Pro: the Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition. In this case the reference is to the adamantium-covered skeleton of the character, rendered with a metallic finish that unites the covers of the console and the related DualSense controller.

The console bundle and Battle Yellow controller will be purchasable via the PlayStation direct website and at selected retailers; the covers for PS5 and PS5 Pro, in both the Battle Yellow and Adamantium variants, will instead be reserved for the official PlayStation online store. Pre-orders will open on August 19th at 10:00 local time, while the arrival on shelves is expected in limited quantities starting from September 15th, the day of the launch of Marvel’s Wolverine.
