Alexsis Issaurat, a French citizen suspected of crimes related to terrorism, weapons and high technology, was arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports ATV.
The Trebinje Police Department confirmed that a man with the initials IAHFJ, born in 1987, was arrested on a warrant from France, which corresponds to the Frenchman’s full name – Alexis Hugues Fernand Jacques Issaurat.
They stated that the man was taken into custody without resistance around 4:10 p.m. in the area of the city of Trebinje.
Alexis was already arrested in May of the same year in Banja Luka based on an Interpol warrant from Paris. Then the police officers of the PU Banja Luka, in cooperation with the Directorate for Combating Terrorism and Extremism, found Issaurat and established his identity, after which he was transferred to Sarajevo, where the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina ordered his temporary detention. After the end of that detention, Isaurat was released, but the Interpol red warrant remained active, although extradition was not requested.
Isaurt used multiple identities, including the name Alexis Isaurt and Frank Saron, making it difficult to confirm his true identity. The media reported on his arrests in France, Slovakia, Italy and Hungary, and he was convicted several times for possession of weapons.
He attracted the attention of the public because of his racist and homophobic views expressed on the Internet, as well as tattoos on his body glorifying the Nazis and Adolf Hitler.
