Ahead of the speech, which is expected to take place at 18:00 on Sunday, the Jerusalem hall in the Mishkan has been converted into a situation room. From Sunday, it will be staffed by dozens of technology and service personnel, who will ensure the proper course of the event and help Knesset members connect to the video call. The call will be monitored continuously in order to verify its proper course – for this purpose, dozens of computers, screens and various technical means have been installed in the hall and many “tests” are being conducted. The faction administrators will also assist in identifying the MKs for the purpose of confirming their virtual entry into the conversation.
From 18:00 (there are no time differences between Israel and Ukraine), Speaker of the Knesset Miki Levy will deliver opening remarks. The Knesset Speaker will watch Zelensky’s speech using a giant screen and a customized sound system. At the end of Zelensky’s remarks, the Speaker of the Knesset will say goodbye to him and the event will end.
