One of the major successes attributed to the model is finding zero-day security weaknesses (essential security weaknesses that are difficult to crack), in every major operating system and internet browser, autonomously and without the need for human guidance.

While the company decided not to release the model publicly for fear of malicious use, it was decided to give access to 40 partners to test the new model as part of the Glasswing project. Anthropic’s partner list includes JPMorgan Chase, which gives it access to the model, and Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley have also reported that they are testing the model.

The decision turned on red lights for financial regulators around the world, who are examining in recent days how to deal with the threats that the new model may pose. Bloomberg reported that US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell met with the heads of American banks on Wall Street to prepare for cyber risks.

The reason for the serious concerns is that the regulators believe that malicious use of the model could significantly disrupt their activities or cause a potential collapse of the banks – which could endanger global financial stability.

In the report it was stated that the senior officials encouraged the financial system to use the new model to identify weaknesses.
