Amazon opens the first company nursery in Italy: pilot project in Passo Corese

Amazon opens its firstcompany nurseryin Italy. The structure chosen to start theeducational projectis theFCO1 distribution center in Passo Coresein the province of Rieti. The initiative was presented today, with the launch of a project destined to expand to others toologistics centersof the American giante-commerceoperating throughout the country.

The former’s offercompany nurseryle cui educational activitieswill leave next September, it will not be reserved exclusively forcompany employees– which in the province of Rieti alone, there are around 2 thousand permanent and fixed-term operators – but also in thecitizenship of the territorysince it was already included inregional program of early childhood education services. The nursery will be built inside Amazon’s FCO1 center and will be managed byMunicipality of Fara in Sabinathe body where the logistics structure is located. It will be able to accommodate up to in total28 children: an intervention, developed in collaboration with thelocal administrationand which was created with the aim of further supporting theparenting e la work-life balanceof local families.

Only a part of the seats will be reserved for the children ofAmazon distribution center employeeswhile the others will be destined forlocal familiesaccording to the methods defined with themunicipal administration. Just thedirect involvement of the Municipalityrepresents the distinctive element of the project, which was born as a concrete expression ofAmazon’s desire to integrate into the fabric of the local communityand to make itself available to the territory.
