Kesla begins business divestment

Manufacturer of forest machinery Keslan the government has decided to start the divestment process of the tractor equipment product group on the side of civil applications, Kesla informs.

In practice, it could be, for example, selling a tractor equipment product group to another company. Kesla will inform about the progress of the divestment process separately.

Kesla’s board expects to complete the process this year.

According to the release, the background is the company’s goal to ensure sufficient resources for the development of other product groups and for building delivery capabilities.

Kesla intends to keep the defense applications and the product rights of the product group related to applications other than tractor gun mounts.

The company founded a product line called Kesla Defense in 2025. In the original announcement, it was said that the product line is strongly linked to the company’s tractor equipment business, because the planned application areas are based on the company’s Kerberos multi-purpose trailer.

The main application of Kerberos has been the installation of landmines. Multipurpose trailers have been sold to the Finnish Defense Forces.
