Meta launches paid subscription on Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp

Meta Corporation announced the launch of a subscription service under the “Meta One” brand, as well as “Plus” tariffs for its flagship platforms.

The company offers advanced paid features for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, which together are used by nearly four billion people every month.

An Instagram Plus subscription gives users the ability to track repeat Stories views and extend their lifespan beyond the standard 24 hours. These tools are aimed primarily at content creators and those who maintain a personal or corporate brand online.

WhatsApp Plus will cost users $2.99 per month. For this amount, subscribers will receive interface design kits, custom ringtones and expanded chat pinning. The basic version of the application remains free.

The new Meta One subscription brand also covers artificial intelligence capabilities – advanced computing power and more complex data processing functions.

Basic AI tools remain freely available. The free user experience in the company’s applications is formally preserved unchanged.
