Sogin meets Candu: summit on nuclear technologies

Gian Luca Artizzu, CEO of Soginthe public company in charge of the decommissioning of Italian nuclear plants, welcomed Todd Smith, vice president of Marketing & Business Development of Candu EnergyCanadian company of the AtkinsRe’alis Group, specialized in the construction of nuclear reactors. The meeting which took place in the presence of Patrizia Giuliotti, Commercial Delegate of the Canadian Embassy in Italy – underlines a note – was an opportunity for discussion and exchange of information on topics related to innovation and the opportunities offered by new technologies in the nuclear sector.

Sogin and Candu the reasons for the meeting

Particular attention was paid to technical and engineering skills in the management of the entire nuclear cycle, an area in which Sogin represents excellence thanks to the experience gained in the decommissioning activities of Italian nuclear plants and in the management of radioactive materials.
Sogin and Candu expressed their mutual desire to keep the discussion open and to explore possible future opportunities for collaboration in the fields of advanced engineering, technological innovation, management of nuclear materials and specialized training.
