“These days, dozens of companies of the “Multi Group” concern are undergoing various tax inspections.” Tonoyan

Various tax audits are taking place in dozens of companies of the “Multi Group” concern these days, Iveta Tonoyan, the spokesperson of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan, said in response to the question of “Azatutya”.

“Freedom” was particularly interested in the issue of whether there are reports in the media that a notice was sent to the “Multi Wellness” center owned by Gagik Tsarukyan to withdraw from the contract for the right of construction, whether this news corresponds to the truth, Tsarukyan’s spokesperson confirmed that they received a notice of unilateral termination of the contract by the Yerevan Municipality and that they will challenge it in court.

“That area is leased to the “Multi Group” concern until 2065. Lawyers have already presented their objections. We’re going to go the legal route because, obviously, having an overnight lease until 2065, when a decision like that is made, there’s obviously a political component to it. Various tax audits are taking place in dozens of companies of the “Multi Group” concern these days,” said Iveta Tonoyan, the spokesperson of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan.

Still during the parliamentary election campaign, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the nationalization of the “Ararat Cement” factory owned by the Tsarukyan family, and then continued that list, reaching Tsarukyan’s mansion. The prime minister considered the factory of his political rival to be his “business backbone”, called Tsarukyan and his in-laws “mafia” and threatened that the issue of appointing a temporary manager at the factory would be resolved very quickly, as happened in the case of the other competitor, Samvel Karapetyan’s e-networks. The PAP leader replied that “he will not be intimidated by that.”

The General Prosecutor’s Office also announced that in the early 2000s, the “Ararat Cement” factory was privatized with violations.
