La Jornada: Sheinbaum: there is confidence for the industry

President Claudia Shein-baum Pardo yesterday gave certainty to companies in the Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services Industry to continue investing in the country, given the continuation for 10 more years of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States, Canada (T-MEC).

On social networks, at the end of the meeting that took place in the National Palace, the president highlighted that with Plan Mexico “we promote more investments and better jobs.”

We agree “100 percent that what is happening to us will give us certainty, because we have a 10-year guarantee… In an annual review, in an oversight, in the meantime, it is reactivated. This helps us a lot,” said the president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin), Alejandro Malagón.

He mentioned that at the meeting, the President urged them to work on Plan Mexico, to continue “taking care of investments,” and highlighted the tranquility of the markets, as well as the certainty that Mexico will continue to advance with the treaty.

“Today we have certainty for investments; remittances have been growing and exports grew by more than 23 percent,” he stressed.
