Mobileye founder and CEO Professor Amnon Shashua has notified the board of directors of his intention to step down as head of the company following the appointment of a successor. Until the end of the transition period, he will continue to serve as CEO and remain a member of the board of directors.
The board of directors will engage an international executive search firm to conduct a search for a new CEO. After his appointment, Shashua will be offered the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mobileye.
Amnon Shashua founded Mobileye in 1999 and remained a key figure in the company for nearly three decades. Under his leadership, Mobileye conducted the largest initial public offering of shares of an Israeli company at that time in 2014, was sold to Intel for $15.3 billion in 2017, and re-entered the stock exchange in 2022.
