El Al announced the resumption of flights to India and announced direct flights to Australia

The largest Israeli airline, El Al, continues to recover from the coronavirus pandemic and actively expand its route map.

As previously reported, since March of this year, “El Al” began to serve routes to Tokyo, Dublin, Porto and Istanbul.

On Thursday, March 23, the airline announced that from October 2023, after a three-year break, it will return to routes to India, while aircraft to Mumbai and New Delhi will fly through the airspace of Saudi Arabia and Oman. The flight time will be reduced by more than two hours to 5.5 hours. Tickets cost from $400 in both directions.

El Al also announced the signing of a protocol of intent with the government of the Australian state of Victoria to start direct flights between Israel and Melbourne from June 2024.
