Britain could build seven new nuclear power plants by 2050

British Minister of Economy and Industry Kwasi Kwarteng envisioned the country’s new energy strategy for The Sunday Telegraph on Sunday.

Britannia could build seven new nuclear power plants by 2050. In addition, the country plans to increase the use of wind power to diversify its energy sources, the British Minister for Economic Affairs and Industry Kwasi Kwarteng told The Sunday Telegraph.

“Change will not happen in the next two years, but it is something we can strive for.”

Britain has set itself the goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. The country’s government is expected to publish a strategy on energy security next week.

Monet the British are currently scolding violently in the grip of inflation. British housing spending has been boosted, in particular, by a sharp rise in energy bills.

Currently, 21 per cent of Britain’s electricity comes from around 15 nuclear reactors.

Britain is not as dependent on Russian energy as, for example, Germany. Kwasi Kwarteng argues that imports from Russia should be avoided in principle.

“We know what Vladimir Putin does. We do not want to live in a world where we are dependent on Russian fossil energy. ”
