Gasoline has never been so expensive this year

The maximum price of petrol 95 (E10) will increase on Thursday. Anyone who fills up with the stuff will pay a maximum of 1,858 euros per liter, the Federal Public Service Economy announced on Wednesday. It is the first time since the beginning of October last year that the price has risen above 1.85 euros per liter.

The new maximum price is 3.1 cents per liter higher than the current one. Petrol 98 (E5), on the other hand, is becoming cheaper. The maximum price drops by 8 cents per liter on Thursday to 1,958 euros per liter.

The price changes are the result of fluctuations in the quotations of oil products and/or their biocomponents on the international markets, says the FPS Economy.
