Google announces additional layoffs following anti-Israel protest

Google said it had concluded an investigation into anti-Israel actions at its headquarters in New York, Seattle and California, noting that there had been additional layoffs, but did not provide an exact figure.

The organization behind the protest, No Tech for Apartheid, says the total number of workers laid off was 50.

Those fired demanded that the corporation terminate its contract with Israel for the construction of cloud farms, known as the Nimbus project. Among other things, they blocked the office of the director of Google’s cloud department for several hours.
