STOCK EXCHANGE: Mandatum's result received a lukewarm reception on the stock exchange day

Among the smaller companies on the stock exchange, Incap, Digia, Administer and Relais received a strong boost from their results announcements on Wednesday.

After two days of growth, Wednesday was quieter on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The OMXH general index closed down 0.01 percent to 10,109 points.

At the cutting edge Nordic the course decreased by 0.7 percent. Among the most exchanged shares, it was the biggest gainer Sampo with an increase of 2.4 percent. Sampo’s share had clearly fallen on Tuesday after the results report.

Life insurer and asset manager Mandatum (-5.4%) the result increased from the comparison period, but the figures did not seem enough to investors. Mandatum’s earnings report has enough key figures that differ from other listed companies, and there were no broad consensus forecasts available for the company. The result jump missed, among other things, Inderes’ forecast. Client funds managed by Mandatum grew, and the company repeated its instructions.

Housing investor Kojamon (-6.2%) the result fell short of forecasts, and the company had to lower its guidelines regarding turnover and FFO result.

The morning’s earnings announcement was at the top of the stock market’s rise unable (+14.4%) and at the top of the decline, which already fell sharply yesterday, announced its results yesterday KH Group (-7,5 %).

As expected, the large inventories of the largest customer weighed on the turnover and operating income of the contract manufacturer Incap. However, the numbers were better than analysts’ expectations.

There were plenty of results anyway on Wednesday.

Media and learning material company Sanoman (-1.3%) turnover rose unexpectedly from a year ago in January–March, and the operating loss decreased more than analysts’ expectations. Due to the seasonal nature of the learning materials business, the first quarter is typically the quietest of the year for the company.

Infrastructure developer Vietnam (+0.6%) reported a 51 percent increase in turnover and a positive turn in operating profit.

Elecsterin (-3.8%) turnover fell to 8.2 million euros from 8.6 million euros. Correspondingly, the operating profit also decreased slightly to 0.6 million euros from 0.7 million euros.

Real estate investment company Investors Housen (+2.3%) operating profit was 1.0 million euros in the first quarter of the year, while it was a loss of 0.1 million euros in the corresponding period last year. According to the company, the result of the first quarter was the best first quarter in the company’s history when the method of handling real estate taxes is harmonized.

IT company Digian (+8.1%) turnover increased by more than seven percent from the comparison period and profitability exceeded expectations. The company kept its guidance unchanged.

Operating in the vehicle aftermarket Relay (+7.3%) increased its turnover through acquisitions. The cold weather at the beginning of the year tightened sales.

Meat company HKScan (-0.8%) reported a slight increase in continuing operations and an improvement in earnings. After the acquisitions, the company’s ongoing business is now roughly half of what it was a year ago.

Accounting office Administer (+8.0%) turnover decreased, but the operating result improved during the beginning of the year to a plus from the loss in the comparison period.

Consulting company Sitowisen (-1.1%) the result fell even more sharply than the gloomy forecasts. However, the decline in turnover met expectations.

The defense industry and electrification were supported by the consulting firm Etteplania (+4.6%), the company kept the guidance unchanged. Turnover and operating profit grew slightly more than Inderes’ expectations.

Event company Rush Factory (-6.5%) said that its subsidiary Funrun Events UK:n the events in England will not take place this year. According to Rush Factory, sales have not met expectations, and the subsidiary may apply for liquidation. The possible liquidation is not expected to affect Rush Factory’s operations in other countries.
