The Spanish Police Foundation and Planeta announce the IX National Police Novel Award with 20,000 euros

The Spanish Police Foundation and the Planeta publishing house have called the IX National Police Novel Award. It is a single award endowed with 20,000 euros.

Thus, novels belonging to the crime, police or criminal novel genre will be awarded and the submission period will be open. until next June 15. It will fail in November.

In fact, any writer of any nationality may apply for the prize, as long as he or she is of legal age, and the works submitted must be original, unpublished and written in Spanish.

As the foundation has explained, each author may submit a single work that must have a minimum length of 250,000 characters. The work will be delivered finished, without the possibility of adding parts or making changes after its delivery or the awarding of the prize.

The jury will be made up of seven members linked to the literary and publishing world. Specifically, a representative of the Spanish Police Foundation, who will be appointed president of the jury; a representative of Editorial Planeta, who will be appointed secretary of the jury; two police officers with literary knowledge appointed at the proposal of the Spanish Police Foundation; two writers appointed at the proposal of Editorial Planeta; and a prestigious writer who will be chosen by mutual agreement between the entity and the publishing label.
