Milan, the artist Danilo Pistone brings the purity of Levissima to the city

In a time marked by accelerated pace, overstimulation and often unattainable models, an increasingly shared need is growing: to rediscover a more authentic, essential, concrete dimension of everyday life. A cultural change that also emerges from listening to online conversations, where more and more people talk about the need to slow down, simplify and reconnect with what is essential. It is in this context that “Taste purity” was born, the artistic project that brings to the heart of Milan a fragment of the purity that is experienced in the mountains through an authorial mural signed by Danilo Pistone, aka Neve, one of the most relevant figures of contemporary neo-muralism.

The work takes shape in Alzaia Naviglio Grande 112, on a surface of 35 by 4.5 metres, transforming an urban space into a truly contemporary belvedere: an open window onto the Alpine landscape, capable of changing the perception of the place and inviting those passing by to stop, observe, find a moment of connection. At the center of the mural, a symbolic image: a face that merges with the mountain, until it becomes a single material. Cima Piazzi emerges in the gaze, suspended between reality and imagination, in a continuous dialogue between man and nature.

Made entirely freehand with acrylics and sprays, the intervention also integrates Airlite* paints which help reduce pollution by absorbing some pollutants, adding a concrete dimension to the value of the work. More than an artistic intervention, the project is proposed as a reflection on the way we experience urban spaces: an invitation to rediscover the value of simple gestures, of the gaze, of time. “I wanted to create an image that was not just to be looked at, but to be experienced – says Neve -. A work capable of generating a profound connection even in an urban context”. The project is promoted by Levissima, which has always linked its identity to the territory of origin and the purity of its sources, with the aim of bringing these values into people’s everyday lives. “Intervening on an urban space means first of all taking care of it – comments Chiara Croci, Senior Brand Manager of Levissima -. With this project we wanted to give back to the city a place that was not just to be crossed, but to be experienced, capable of generating value for people and for the territory”. With “Taste Purity”, urban art thus becomes a tool to talk about a broader change: that of a return to a more authentic, simple and conscious dimension of living.
