For the first time since she was diagnosed with cancer: Kate Middleton on an official visit overseas

Kate Middleton marks a significant milestone in her return to routine since being diagnosed with cancer: a two-day official visit to Italy, dedicated entirely to promoting education and the welfare of early childhood children. The visit is considered a “data collection” mission for the Royal Foundation’s “Early Childhood Centre”, the Princess’ flagship project.

During the tour of the local schools, Middleton joined the children in hands-on learning activities and spent time with them in nature in an environment that she also consistently encourages for her children Prince George (13), Princess Charlotte (11) and Prince Louis (8).

As you may remember, in March 2024, Middleton revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer, a revelation that came unexpectedly following an abdominal surgery she underwent. The princess chose to maintain her privacy and did not reveal the type of illness or the stage of discovery. After a year of treatments and staying away from the public eye, the princess announced in the summer of 2024 the end of chemotherapy treatments, and in early 2025 excitedly announced that her disease was in remission.

The visit to Italy marks not only Kate’s professional commitment to education, but also her personal victory on the way back to fulfilling her royal duties with confidence and a smile.
