The actor Axel Schreiber is dead. The artist, known from the ARD series “Turkish for Beginners”, died at the age of 49 after suffering from cancer, as his acting agency Hübchen announced on Instagram, citing a close friend of Schreiber. The “Bild” newspaper had previously reported.

Born in Lübben, Brandenburg, Schreiber completed acting training at the Hanover University of Music, Theater and Media from 2001 to 2004. From 2005 he was in the “Turkish for Beginners” series to see and thereby gained fame throughout Germany. He then starred in numerous series, television and films. Schreiber lived in Berlin.
