End of the conflict? Taylor Swift’s surprising decision regarding the former bestie

The wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey is getting closer, and naturally the headlines in the gossip sections overseas do not stop dealing with the event in question and those invited to it.

For many years there were persistent rumors about a conflict and a complete breakup between Swift and who was once her best and inseparable friend, the model Karlie Kloss – but now it turns out that under the radar, all the drama has probably been left behind, and the former bestie received a glittering invitation to the wedding that will be held on July 3 in New York.

For those who managed to forget: the two were once the inseparable duo. Since meeting at the Victoria’s Secret show in 2013, they’ve hit awards shows together, gone on joint road trips, Kloss ironically starred in Swift’s star-studded music video for her hit “Bad Blood,” and the pair even graced the cover of Vogue magazine together during the singer’s 1989 album era. Towards 2018, the friendship simply evaporated, and the two stopped being seen together in public.

Theories about the cause of the breakup have circulated for years, although none of them have ever been officially confirmed. Some claimed that it was politics that crossed the line between them, after in 2018 Kloss married Josh Kushner, the brother of Jared Kushner (who served as a senior adviser to President Trump) – a president that Swift, as you know, is not really one of his fans (probably a mutual feeling).

Another theory, and no less stinging, pinned the blame on Taylor’s sworn enemy, Scooter Braun. In 2019, Kloss and her husband spent a vacation with Brown, and this happened long after Swift had already started a fight against him following the purchase of the masters of her songs. So called, not exactly the backup you expect from the BFF.

What’s interesting is that while nothing about Kloss’ political or social connections has really changed since then, insiders say the two probably just agreed to disagree, and made up for it away from the spotlight quite some time ago. Taylor put her ego aside, and decided that Kloss’ name would absolutely be on the event’s prestigious guest list. Now we just have to wait and see if they will also upload pictures together from the wedding.
