La Jornada: Dudamel organizes charity concert for Venezuela

The Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel reported that he is organizing a “large-scale” international concert and other support activities, in order to “obtain the greatest amount of resources and humanitarian aid” for his compatriots affected by the earthquakes last Wednesday.

In a video broadcast on his social media accounts, the musician also announced that he signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Program – an arm of the United Nations dedicated to eradicating poverty, reducing inequalities and exclusion – “so that all the support obtained reaches immediately those who need it most.”
