The MNAC lends 21 works to the Kunsthalle München for an exhibition on Catalan modernism

The Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) will lend 21 works to the exhibition ‘Modern Barcelona, ​​from Gaudí to Picasso’, which will be hosted by the Kunsthalle of Munich (Germany) from October 23, 2026 to February 21, 2027.

The exhibition will explore through 160 paintings, drawings, sculptures, furniture and architectural models the richness and diversity of Catalan ‘modernisme’ between the years 1880 and 1914, the museum reports this Thursday in a statement.

Among the pieces loaned by the MNAC are ‘Ramon Casas and Pere Romeu in a tandem’ by Ramon Casas and ‘La granadina’ by Hermen Anglada Camarasa, among others.
