Egyptian director Peter Mimi revealed that the series “The Assassins,” which is being shown during the current Ramadan season and stars Karim Abdel Aziz, carries an unexpected surprise at the end.
He added in a radio interview: “There is an unexpected ending, not only in episode 30, but in the last three episodes: 28, 29, 30,” noting that the preparation for the series took a full year, which is the same time it took to film the work.
During the same interview, artist Karim Abdel Aziz praised the artistic cooperation with director Peter Mimi, saying that he had not known the meaning of rest for two and a half years, because of this series, adding that Mimi and his assistants did not leave out any detail of the work, until it came out perfectly.
He pointed out that the production of this work of this quality is the result of many months of effort, and he considers himself lucky to be part of this huge work.
Regarding criticism of the use of colloquial dialect, the director of the series said: “The Egyptian colloquial language is understood throughout the Arab world, and works such as (Al-Zeini Barakat) and (Ali Al-Zaybak) were presented in the Egyptian colloquial language, and works in Turkey are presented in their language.”
