The band Jarabe de Palo performs this Saturday, April 27 on the Riviera of Madrid with their tribute concert ‘Jarabe de Palo Tributo a Pau Donés’.
The concert will begin at 9:00 p.m. and is part of the tour that started on February 9 at the Sala Albéniz in Gijón and will take Jarabe de Palo to tour 18 cities offering a retrospective of the legacy left by the musician and composer.
Thus, the show will have video projections that will refer to Pau Donés. The lighting design custom made by his childhood friend and Jarabe de Palo illuminator, Miquel Clot, will play an “important” role and will provide a special atmosphere at every moment of the concert.
The Jarabe de Palo band will be the same one with which Pau did his last concerts during ‘The 20 Years Tour’, in 2017, according to the group.
The production has the musical direction of Micky Forteza-Rey (co-producer of Jarabe de Palo) who has been a key person in the careful selection of the compositions that will be performed at the concert: 17 main songs originally composed by Pau Donés in different versions that synthesize the history of Jarabe de Palo.
